Division 1
Devices are approved for all hazardous Classes I/II/III, and Divisions 1, 2. Suitable for locations with flammable gases, vapors, dusts, or fibers. Division 1 per NEC and CEC includes ignitable hazards during normal operation, maintenance, or equipment failure.
Division 2
Devices are approved for use in Class I/II/III, and Division 2 locations, suitable where flammable gases, vapors, dusts, or fibers are present only under abnormal conditions, such as accidental rupture, equipment failure, or system malfunction.
